What is fustigating for me as a digital writer and planner
With the rate of inflation being what it is nowadays, one community I am glad I am no longer apart of is the planner community. Prior to the pandemic I admit I spent countless of dollars on planners and planner materials, when you add that I live in Australia and had to add the US Shipping — it was madness. Now, years later I wouldn’t say I am reformed, as I am still a planner, but I am refined. I have moved from physical to digital planning. I am happy and as of 27th November 2024, I have been journaling for 854 days solid. Over the years my journaling has evolved with how I want to keep certain information. So, why does this time of year so frustrating to me?
Because though I see nothing wrong with using whatever type of planner you use — there markets and society still favour the physical over the digital. Just take a quick search for ‘plan with me’s’ in YouTube and the results are flooded with physical plan with me videos, usually with one of the popular planners.
To me, digital planning seems to be looked down as the lesser of the two. Because I am choosing to plan but without the need to constantly buy sticker kits and washi, it could be seen as not being effective.
