The article that changed my life

It was the title that caught my eye first: Murderers, prostitutes, mothers and paupers: Victorian female prison registers online for first time; it was one picture that would change my life.

The article is to announce that the Public Records of Victoria (PROV) have digitised the female prison records. As I expected there was a mention of Mollie Jarvie, who was one of Joseph ‘Squizzy’ Taylor’s mistresses during the 1920’s. However, it was the next paragraph (pictured below) that made me stop.
