I was happy to see a few days ago that the notification popped up to let me know Readwise now had an integration to Obsidian. I had been using another 3rd party plugin which did work, but it wasn’t the best.

Since discovering Readwise and the Zettelkasten method I have found it truly life changing with how I take notes. I used it with Notion, when I was using it. However; once I tried Obsidian — I quickly understood that it was ok to have more than ‘1 app for everything’. Once that clicked, Notion became my storage/record keeping centre and Obsidian became my endless notebook.

What I love about Obsidian is that it allows me to link any two or more notes to each other. Also, as someone who only reads on Kindle or listens to books — I find the apps a huge assistance. Now that I have it syncing to Obsidian officially — I can look into whether I should import my PDFs that I have highlighted, or still use my workflow that I already have.

I also still haven’t worked out all my podcast notetaking kinks. That will also be on the list.

For those of you who need a walk through of how to connect Readwise to Obsidian — watch the video below.
